FOR FIRST RESPONDERS & VETERANS
You Showed Up for Everyone Else. This Time, Show Up for You.
The job leaves marks the rest of the world doesn’t see. Sleep that won’t come. A short fuse. A numbness that crept in so slowly you almost missed it.
If talk therapy and medication haven’t been enough, that isn’t a failure. It may just mean you need a different tool. IV ketamine works differently than antidepressants — and for many veterans and first responders, it helps when nothing else has.
WHY THIS OFTEN HELPS WHEN OTHER THINGS HAVEN’T
Trauma Isn’t a Weakness. It’s a Change in the Brain.
Years of high-stress calls, combat, or trauma change how the brain works. The parts that handle mood, sleep, and calm get worn down. That is not about being weak. It is a real, physical change.
Ketamine helps the brain build new connections again. For a short window after each treatment, it becomes easier to form healthier patterns. That is why we pair it with real support — not just the infusion.
We also understand moral injury: the weight of what you saw, or what you had to do. It is not always the same as PTSD, and it deserves care that takes it seriously.
WHAT WE SEE MOST
Who This Tends to Help
We see a few patterns again and again:
PTSD and trauma. Flashbacks, nightmares, always being on guard — when the past keeps pulling you back into the present.
Depression that won’t lift. The kind that stays even after two or more medications. Ketamine works in a different way, so it can help when those haven’t.
Moral injury. The weight of what you saw, or what you had to do — guilt and grief that don’t fit neatly into a diagnosis.
Anxiety and hypervigilance. A body that never fully stands down. Trouble relaxing, sleeping, or feeling safe even when you are.
If the thoughts have gotten dark: you are not alone, and help is available right now. Call or text 988 (Veterans, press 1) any time, day or night. In studies, ketamine has lowered suicidal thoughts quickly for many people — but if you are in immediate danger, an emergency room or 988 is the right first step. An outpatient treatment series is not a substitute for crisis care.
FROM OUR MEDICAL DIRECTOR
“I didn’t feel of value. I didn’t feel like anything brought me joy. I was burned out. On paper, everything looked great — checking all the boxes. But inside, that wasn’t helping. I was still struggling.”
DEE BONNEY, MD
Founder & Medical Director, AlphaOmega Wellness. He found his own way back — and built this clinic so you could too.
WHAT THE RESEARCH SHOWS
This Isn’t Experimental. It’s Studied.
Ketamine has been studied for depression and PTSD in randomized trials — the highest standard of medical evidence.
In people with PTSD, repeated ketamine treatments lowered symptoms more than placebo (Feder et al., 2014), (Feder et al., 2021). It also works fast — often within hours to days — which matters when someone is in a dark place (Wilkinson et al., 2018).
It works on a different brain system than antidepressants, which is part of why it can help people who have already tried several medications (Zarate et al., 2006).
