Umm… What’s in THAT? I, Megan, occasionally carry around coffee in my hand and by occasionally I mean it doesn’t leave my side till around noon. However, if I’m being really good I also have a protein shake nearby too and I get asked what’s it in

Ingredients:

  1. Just Ingredients Protein Powder (Chocolate Peanut Butter): Kicking off the blend is the star of the show – a protein-packed powder that not only satisfies your sweet tooth with the irresistible combination of chocolate and peanut butter but also provides the essential building blocks for muscle repair and growth. (check out Just Ingredients, you won’t be disappointed — love their products because there is NO artificial anything, 22g protein, and tasty!)
  2. GI Replenish: Ever heard of gut health? Well, GI Replenish is here to support it. This ingredient is a game-changer, promoting a healthy digestive system and ensuring that your body absorbs all the nutrients efficiently. (GI Replenish comes from Metagenics, one of the supplement companies we recommend whole heartedly).Organic frozen fruit, organic almond milk, protein powder, chia seeds, protein shake
  3. Chia Seeds: Tiny but mighty, chia seeds are loaded with omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and protein. They bring a delightful crunch to the shake while offering a substantial boost to your overall nutrient intake. (Just remember to have floss nearby incase you want to smile at someone…)
  4. Organic Frozen Fruit: Nature’s candy, frozen fruits not only enhance the shake’s flavor but also contribute essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It’s a tasty way to sneak in those micronutrients!
  5. Turmeric Powder: This golden spice is renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties. Including turmeric powder in your protein shake not only adds a unique flavor but also provides a natural remedy to support your body’s recovery.
  6. Organic Spinach: Popeye knew what he was talking about! Packed with iron, vitamins, and minerals, organic spinach is a nutritional powerhouse. It blends seamlessly into the shake, offering a green boost without compromising the taste.
  7. Broccoli Sprouts: Don’t underestimate the power of these tiny green wonders. Broccoli sprouts bring a refreshing twist to the shake, delivering a dose of antioxidants, vitamins, and enzymes to keep you feeling revitalized.
  8. Organic Almond Milk: Last but not least, the base of my protein shake is organic almond milk. Not only is it a dairy-free alternative, but it also adds a creamy texture while providing a good source of calcium, vitamin E, and healthy fats.

Yeah… but, why drink this?? The benefits of all this protein!

  • Muscle Support: The protein powder and chia seeds in the shake work together to provide your muscles with the essential amino acids needed for repair and growth.
  • Digestive Wellness: Thanks to GI Replenish and fiber-rich ingredients like chia seeds, this shake supports a healthy digestive system, ensuring optimal nutrient absorption.
  • Nutrient Boost: Loaded with organic fruits, vegetables, and superfoods, the shake offers a convenient and delicious way to elevate your daily nutrient intake.
  • Anti-Inflammatory Properties: Turmeric powder contributes anti-inflammatory benefits, aiding in post-workout recovery and promoting overall well-being.
  • Vitality and Energy: The combination of nutrient-dense ingredients provides a sustained release of energy, keeping you fueled throughout the day.

There you go! If want to get a little crazy try a lemon in the shake too! Rind and all! It makes it very citrus like and fresh. You can always swab out out the chia seeds for flax seed if flossing is a concern — play with the blend until you find something as delicious as I have! Ps. this is definitely small human approved too. Our 7 year old has been having the GI replenish shakes regularly for the last year and half and we’ve seen a huge improvement in his gut health!
